| NEHA, founded in 1972, encompasses an area
of over 500 homes...39th Street on the south, Melbourne Rd on the west,
Kenilworth on the north, and Kessler on the east. In the past, the
Association has represented neighbors with the developers of North Woods;
Robertson Village, over street development and the illegal removal of trees;
the developers and builders (Davis Homes) of Kessler Greene and most
recently, potential developers of the land south of 39th Street and west of
Lincoln. The streets are plowed when it snows and we enjoy the lowest crime
statistics in the area. But it doesn't come for free. 233 homes out of 487
are members. 254 homes enjoy the same services without paying a dime.
$24,600 a year for Security, $2,000 or more for snow plowing, and untold
value in the strength of our voices. This is a great neighborhood to live in. If you want to keep it that way, encourage your neighbors to join NEHA. Seems like a small price to pay to maintain our standards of living. |
